4:59 I agree with that thinking. In that moment, I wonder what he was considering to say. Because if there is no financial goal/interest in the business then you should go volunteer your time and gift. Great example for self-interest vs selfish.

There’s a difference between selfish and self-interest. There should be a return for your investment and you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Most entrepreneurs don’t have a pricing problem they have a value perception problem. This is why understanding price structure is so important. Price isn’t just a number; it’s a reflection of positioning, transformation, and the confidence behind the offer. A lot of businesses compete by lowering prices, but successful businesses learn how to increase value, communicate outcomes, and attract the right customers. The goal isn’t to be the cheapest option it’s to become the obvious choice. Great reminder that business growth comes from better thinking, not just better tactics.

Thank you, my friend for putting these pre-video talks up for us. I’m learning so much. I also have a faith base coaching really specific taking people from trauma and chronic symptoms to elucidating the kingdom calling that’s on their life. It’s definitely faith base however much like your content could appeal to not believers as well. I’ve seen women’s face base coaching clearly identified this Christian coaching on YouTube and those people are doing very very well, so I think it is possible to niche present to Christian specifically but again I appreciate you. Don’t have to necessarily put that in the wording. Thanks so much. God bless!

This was a good session..... Major take away is creating an offer that you think people would like has be confirmed by the market place.

In short

A studio Q&A where Myron Golden takes questions on pricing structure, generational wealth, lead quality and offer positioning. He explains when monthly recurring beats a one-time payment, why he puts his $40,000 hour and $55,000 mastermind price up front to repel the wrong buyers, and why an offer has to be measurable, desirable and believable to the market before it will sell. Also covers getting your children invested in a family business, and how to pick a YouTube category instead of a niche.

Chapters

Key points

  1. 01

Recurring or one-time depends on objective

A big one-time payment is better if you want cash up front; monthly recurring stabilizes revenue, but the average subscriber only stays about four months.

  2. 02

    Self-interest is not selfishness

Most of us don't like other people enough for them to be our sole motivation, because business gets too hard, so you need a personal financial objective too.

  3. 03

Generational wealth starts with individual wealth

Somebody has to get the ball rolling, and it's very hard to build generational wealth from a service business unless you productize parts of it so revenue scales without the work scaling.

  4. 04

Price up front to repel the unqualified

Myron puts his prices on the front page so people who believe they're not worth it leave him alone; messaging and pricing should disqualify as much as they qualify.

  5. 05

Offers must be measurable to convert

"Feeling secure in your identity" doesn't sell because it can't be measured, and people are paying you a measured amount of money.

  6. 06

Build for a category, not a niche

YouTube has entertainment, education, enterprise and empowerment categories; enroll the attention of the largest number of people and let the audience niche themselves down.

Lines worth keeping

  • The reason I brush my teeth and not my neighbor's teeth is because I have self-interest. I'd like for my neighbor to keep his teeth, but I must keep mine.

His core reframe of why a personal objective is necessary, not shameful.

  • I never gave my children money. I gave them opportunities to earn it.

Sums up his approach to getting the next generation invested in the family business.

  • Most people think that they're not doing better because they don't know what to do. But most people aren't doing better because they don't do what they know.

Explains why he pays for a coach even when he already knows the material.

  • I'm making sure that my messaging and my pricing disqualifies the unqualified as much as it qualifies the qualified.

The central pricing principle of the session.

  • The reason I talk about God in my content is for the God haters so they leave me alone. It's more to repel the wrong audience than it is to attract the right audience.

Shows that his filtering logic applies to content, not just price.

What to do next

  1. 1

Decide your personal financial objective before choosing one-time or recurring pricing.

Whether a subscription or a big up-front payment is right is fully determined by what you want out of selling the thing.

  2. 2

Put your prices on the front page of everything.

It causes people who believe they're not worth it to leave you alone, so your leads self-qualify.

  3. 3

Find what your buyers don't have because of the problem, and sell that measurable outcome.

If it's not measurable it's not desirable, and offers that start in your head instead of in the marketplace face a hard road.

  4. 4

Productize parts of a service business.

You can't build generational wealth if revenue only scales when the work scales.

  5. 5

Choose a broad content category and let the audience niche themselves down.

More people want to learn how to do impossible things than want to build million-dollar businesses, and the broader topic enrolls more attention.
